Rump Roast
We are so excited to offer Woods Family Ranch Beef! Our lovely Angus heifers were born just up the road at Bear Mountain Ranch, and have spent the last year nourishing our pastures and getting to know the ins and outs of the ranch.
Originally hailing from Scotland, Angus cattle are known for their good natured personalities, resistance to harsh weather, and their high quality, nicely marbled meat. They were finished on corn and molasses, so they are milder in flavor than purely grass-fed beef.
The rump roast is cut from the back end of the beef. This lean cut comes from a muscle group that gets a lot of exercise, so it’s important to cook it correctly so it’s not tough. The rump roast is a great choice for a pot roast or beef stew.
Our rump roasts are 2-2.5 lbs.
